Cincinnati, Ohio (June 3, 2016)—London Computer Systems (LCS), developer of Rent Manager® property management software and other business-critical technologies, is pleased to announce the release of the new Text Messaging Center and Service Tech Map as expanded functionality to the software’s mobile capabilities. Both updates come as part of Rent Manager’s continued effort to broaden the mobile resources available to property managers.
The Text Messaging Center allows for two-way texting, enabling property managers to converse with tenants, vendors, owners, and more via SMS messaging. All text messages are displayed in one convenient window in Rent Manager, with action buttons that allow the user to quickly jump to various portions of the program—like work orders or the tenant window.
In addition, the Service Tech Map is an extended feature of Rent Manager’s mobile applications that allows users to see technicians working in the field via geolocation technology on an interactive map within the program. Technicians “check in” and “check out” of the job, allowing those back in the office to see when a work order has been completed. It also shows the technician’s previous job location and any future service ticket they are assigned to.
Other updates to Rent Manager’s capabilities include the addition of Push Notifications on Rent Manager’s rmInspection and rmService apps that alert technicians of any new jobs assigned to them while they are in the field. Rent Manager has also converted its search functionality to mirror that of a Google® search, with inquirers populating as the user types into the search box, rather than the previously used “spinner” search style.
The updates made to Rent Manager’s mobile apps and the addition of two-way texting via the Text Messaging Center give those utilizing the software a distinct competitive edge, by providing more functionality in the field than ever before.
