London Computer Systems (LCS), developer of Rent Manager property management software and other critical business technology solutions, received three Stevie® Awards in the 21st Annual American Business Awards®. LCS received a Silver Stevie Award in the Customer Service Department of the Year category for the Rent Manager Support Department. LCS also won two Gold Stevie Awards. These come in the form of the Conferences & Meetings – Educational Event category for the 2022 Rent Manager User Conference, and the other for President and CEO Dave Hegemann in the Best Entrepreneur – Computer Software category for companies up to 500 employees. Further, LCS’ Rent Manager-affiliated app, rmResident, was nominated for a People’s Choice Award in the Favorite New Products category.

What are the Stevies?

The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program and all organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations. Nicknamed The Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” winners will receive their awards at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 13.

More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year. The categories available included Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service, Marketing Campaign of the Year, App of the Year, and more. More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

What Sets Rent Manager’s Customer Support Department Apart?

2022 was a year of innovation and growth for our Customer Support department. With an increased focus on efficiency, accuracy, and internal training, our hold times are the lowest they’ve ever been. This decrease comes despite our customer base growing 18% year over year. Further, we reduced the volume of calls to our Support department by providing our repeat callers with a trial of Premium Support. Premium Support gives customers the ability to call their team of dedicated Customer Support Specialists directly.

Delivering excellent service has become challenging worldwide in recent years due to a variety of factors. These include increased cost of labor, flexible work demands, labor shortages, etc. However, because customer service is a focus and competitive advantage for Rent Manager, our recent proactive efforts have allowed us to significantly improve key service metrics at a time when other companies have struggled to adapt.

What Makes the Rent Manager User Conference So Special?

The annual Rent Manager User Conference (RMUC) is our largest customer-facing event. There, our customers, integrated technology providers, and employees can network, learn more about Rent Manager, and get hands-on experience with the platform through demonstrations and classes.

In preparation for each conference, the RMUC planning committee examines previous-attendee feedback, researches current industry trends, and reviews Rent Manager features and capabilities to create a lineup of can’t-miss instructional sessions for future conference attendees to participate in. In 2022, 72 carefully crafted classes were offered on topics ranging from Giving Your Website Superpowers to Improving Your Bookkeeping Skills, and everything in between. Customers also had the opportunity to earn National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) and National Association of State Boards of Accountancy Continuing Professional Education (NASBA CPE) credits by attending RMUC sessions. In addition, conferencegoers could take an exam to become Rent Manager Certified in either the core aspects of the program or fee-based property management and accounting.
