Know the Knowledgebase: Why Are Owners Missing From The List When Posting Management Fees?

Knowledgebase is a database of Rent Manager® FAQs, work-arounds, and tested solutions assembled by our Support Specialists and Instructional Resources staff. This expansive, instructive resource provides all sorts of valuable information about your Rent Manager property management software.

If an owner is not displaying in the list when Rent Manager is calculating management fees, either the management fees have already been posted for the date range or the contract dates identify the owner as inactive as of the day you are posting management fees through.

Management fees have already been posted:

  1. Go to Owners > Owners.
  2. Select the owner in the list.
  3. Select the Fees tab.

If the date of the last posted management fees extends beyond the date for which you are calculating current fees, Rent Manager will not list the owner since the fees have already been posted. If necessary, roll back the last management fee posting by clicking Rollback Last Posting and recalculating management fees for the owner.

Contract start dates identify the owner as inactive:

  1. Go to Owners > Owners.
  2. Select the owner in the list.
  3. On the General tab, verify the Contract Dates are accurate.

If the contract had not started by the date entered when calculating management fees or if the contract had ended, the owner is considered inactive as of that date and Rent Manager will not calculate management fees.

Go to File > Administration > Manage Users:

  • Properties group: Enable (check) the appropriate Properties
  • Owners group: View and Edit Owners

To rollback management fees from the owner’s account (in addition to above):

  • System group: View and Edit Administration items
