Know the Knowledgebase: What is the purpose of each icon at the top of Rent Manager reports?

Knowledgebase is a database of Rent Manager® FAQs, work-arounds, and tested solutions assembled by our Support Specialists and Instructional Resources staff. This expansive, instructive resource provides all sorts of valuable information about your Rent Manager property management software.

The top row of each report contains options, buttons and icons; each has a unique function. A description of each icon, button and option is provided below.

Description of report icons from left to right:

(The icon’s name will display when you hover over it with your mouse.)

Print: Prints the report.

Copy: Copies the report to the clipboard and can be pasted inside or outside of Rent Manager.

Find: Opens a dialogue box where the user can enter text to find in the report.

Single Page: Displays a single page of the report on the monitor at a time.

Multiple Pages: Provides options to display multiple pages of the report on the monitor at a time.

Zoom Out: Decreases the display size of the report.

Zoom In: Increases the display size of the report.

Display Size: Provides a drop-down list of options through which the display size can be selected.

Previous Page: Scrolls to the previous page of the report.

Next Page: Scrolls to the next page of the report.

Page: Displays the current page number out of the total page number. Type a number in this field to go directly to a specific page.

Refresh: Refreshes the report to modify the report options or to refresh the report to include any changes made to the data since the report was run.

VPO: Displays options to enable in order to submit the report to Rent Manager using your existing VPO account. (To create a VPO account, contact your Sales Representative at 800.669.0871/

Memorize Report: Select to memorize and name the current report. Access the report in the future by going to Reports > Memorized Reports.

Email: Email the report in a PDF format.

PDF: Export the report to your local drive and save as a PDF file.

Excel: Export the report to your local drive and save as an Excel file.

CSV: Export the report to your local drive and save as a CSV file.

HTML: Export the report to your local drive and save as an HTLM file.

Text Format: Export the report to your local drive and save as a text file that can be opened in a program such as notepad.


Go toFile > Administration > Manage Users:

Letters/Reports group: Run reports Enabled

  • Reports Tab: Enable the appropriate reports
  • Letters/Reports group: Run accounting reports Enabled*

*Possibly needed depending on situation and database setup
