Know The Knowledgebase: Change A Prospect To A Customer Without Screening

Property and Preferences can require screening to be completed before a prospect can become a customer. In order to reverse these settings the following steps must be taken:

If Screening information is setup under the System Preferences Settings:

1. Select File ->Administration -> System Preferences
2. Select Screening for the list at the left.
3. Remove checkmark from Require screening for conversion from prospect to customer.
4. Select Apply.
5. Select OK.

If Screening information is setup under by each Property:

1. Select Rental Info -> Properties
2. Select the Property from the list at the left.
3. Select Screening Tab.
4. Remove checkmark from Require screening for conversion from prospect to customer.
5. Select Save.

Switching Prospect to Customer:

1. Select Rental Info ->Prospects.
2. Select the Prospect from the list at the left.
3. From the General Tab, select Status.
4. SelectNew Status as Customer.
5. Select Lease signed date.
6. Select Save.

After the prospect becomes a customer, go back to either the system preferences or property screening settings and recheck Require screening for conversion from prospect to customer.

Requirements

  1. User must have permissions enabled to System with View, Edit rights to Administrative Items.
  2. User must have permissions enabled to Properties/Units with Add, View, and Edit rights to Properties
  3. User must have permissions enabled to Customer/Prospects with Add, View, and Edit rights to Customers.
  4. User must have permissions enabled to Customer/Prospects with Add, View, and Edit rights to Prospects.
