Know the Knowledgebase: Add Other “Rent Charge” Types to GPR Postings

Knowledgebase is a database of Rent Manager® FAQs, work-arounds, and tested solutions assembled by our Support Specialists and Instructional Resources staff. This expansive, instructive resource provides all sorts of valuable information about your Rent Manager property management software.

The following Knowledgebase article shares how to include other “Rent Charge” types (such as those defined on the property’s General tab) in your Gross Potential Rent (GPR) postings. Each charge type must be linked to the same rental income account, more information follows:

When GPR is posted, Rent Manager does not look at the charge type directly, instead, the program looks to the income account selected in the GPR posting (such as 4001 Rental Income).

If all rent charge types defined at the property level are linked to the income account selected when posting GPR, they will be included in the posting.
