Rent Manager 12 Fundamentals examines the basics of four key areas of the system:
- Database Setup – Examine the fundamental records that make up your portfolio: GL accounts, charge types, properties, units, tenants, user defined fields, etc. Learn best practices for setting up and adjusting this data to more effectively use the rest of the program.
- Accounts Receivable – Learn how to charge tenants, receive payments, and make deposits. Discover important A/R reports that can help you effectively monitor the receivables process.
- Accounts Payable – Explore basic “payables” operations within Rent Manager and how to utilize A/P features to streamline the creation and processing of your daily payables.
- Communication and Management Tools – Learn how to automate your reporting process, quickly produce letters and email correspondence, and keep employees on the same page with calendar and dashboard features.
While covering the basics, we’ll also touch on a few best practices along the way.
The course begins as a three-hour, instructor-led training session. Participants are encouraged to follow along with their instructor in the provided digital workbook—the demonstration activities have been included for you to review later!
Once the demonstration is over, you will have the chance to practice what you just learned in a risk-free simulation of Rent Manager 12—the same database the instructor uses throughout the tutorial. Your workbook also includes hands-on activities that you can practice in the designated training environment created just for you!
