Metered Utilities

The Utility Billing Module is designed to provide you with the capability to calculate and bill for metered utilities consumed by your tenants. This module interfaces with your tenant data files to provide accurate billing which is included on the monthly billing statements.

The Utility Billing kit receives meter-reading input, calculates consumption, assesses charges, print's reports and prints statements. You can save countless hours every month calculating your individual unit's utility bills. And, there's no need to guess or average utility usage across all your units.

Each month new meter readings are entered and the utility consumption charges are automatically calculated and billed to the appropriate tenants. A separate set of reports is included under the utilities menu. Reports include utility and meter type listings, consumption reports and rental unit assignments. The entire customer statement with the meter readings and charges can be printed on a 3 ½" x 6" tractor feed post card.

The Utilities section contains supplemental reports not found under the main reports section. They include utility and meter listings, consumption reports, tenant consumption reports, field entry forms, and a listing of rental unit utility assignments.

Utility Listing: Provides a listing of the defined utilities.

Meter Types Listing: Displays the information on various meter types with their rates and formulas. Consumption Reports: Includes reports such as tenant consumption, total consumption, historical consumption, field entry reports, rental units (displays which utilities are assigned to which units). The rental unit report will contain the utility, property, units, and the meter types currently defined in the system.

Hand held options are available that will allow you to take meter readings in the field, and then download them directly to your database. No need to take the readings by hand, and then re-enter them by hand.

Readings History Report: This powerful report allows you to get historical metered utility information. You can select reports such as consumption spreadsheets for one tenant/unit over the last year and averages per property/utility.
