1. What type of properties will Rent Manager work with?

Rent Manager has been designed as a flexible tool for all types of portfolios. Currently, there are several thousand Apartment Communities, Manufactured Home Communities, Commercial Properties, Condos, Single Family Homes, and Management Companies using Rent Manager.

2. Will Rent Manager Xi work on Windows Vista

Rent Manager will run very well on Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME, Windows 2k, Windows NT, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. The Online version will run on any Windows PC, Macintosh, or Linux Platform.

3. How much does Rent Manager cost?

Rent Manager was designed and priced for companies of any size. Our stand alone software can be purchased on a per unit basis OR as an unlimited rental unit license with prices starting at $150.

4. Can Rent Manager be used on a network?

Absolutely! Rent Manager comes network ready and allows all users to access the same data at the same time. All you need is an additional network license.

5. Can we connect all of our remote properties using Rent Manager?

Of Course! Using Rent Manager Online allows you to connect all of your remote properties in Real Time! You have complete control over what features and properties each remote location can see. Rent Manager Online

6. What makes Rent Manager different than other property management programs?

7. How does Rent Manager do late fees?

Rent Manager offers late charges on a daily rate, a flat fee, a percentage, and offers Early Payment Discounts.

8. Can I get a demo of Rent Manager?

Yes you can. We can mail you a CD or do an online demo. The online demo is preferred by most customers because it takes all of the guess work out of using the program. A staff member from LCS can actually "come onto the screen" and demonstrate the software and answer your questions by showing you the answers. 9. Does Rent Manager work on a Cash basis or an Accrual basis?

Both! While the accounting is done for you, all of the accounting reports allow you to specify whether they should display the information on a cash or accrual basis.

10. If we purchase Rent Manager on a per unit basis, can we add more units later?

Yes you can. You can purchase more units in increments of 5 and then we will provide you with a new license key that includes the total of the new and previous units purchased.

11. What is the difference between the online version and the stand alone?

The stand alone version of Rent Manager is mailed to you on a CD and installed on your computer. The online version of Rent Manager is the same program, but we install it on our servers and provide you with remote access. The online version is ideal for companies that require remote access.

12. How long has Rent Manager been available?

Rent Manager was first introduced in 1982 as an Apple based product. A few years later, it was re-created in DOS form. The current version of Rent Manager is a completely re-written 32 bit Windows version that took over 4 years to develop.

13. Do we get upgrades and how often are they released?

The stand alone version of Rent Manager comes complete with a Live Update feature that allows users that are current on a maintenance and support contract to connect to the internet and download the latest versions. We offer new features via Live Update approximately every two or three weeks. Online users are updated automatically as the updates are released
